Memphis,, JOB SUMMARY Performs at an intermediate level, writing, coordinating and preparing presentations and proposals for our Chicago area Investor Services and Retail focused teams. Responsibilities include leading the strategy and development of new business pursuit deliverables for high-performing sales teams, managing Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, developing strong relationships with business partners and acting as a knowledge manager for the Midwest Marketing Team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages entire pursuit development process from inception through completion, overseeing collateral development, maintaining a strong command of each project’s status, while completing each in a timely manner. Responsible for understanding, conceptualizing, and executing client-based projects. Researches, resolves, coordinates and messages complex issues pertaining to RFP responses. Reviews materials, proofreads content, ensures appropriate branding & approves materials for final distribution. Collaborates with marketing peers (local and corporate), research, sales management and senior leadership on implementation of business development strategy, best practices and processes. Acts as team knowledge manager for all proposal and pitch content. Develops strong relationships with clients and business partners. Provides excellent customer service, including responding promptly to client requests, meeting commitments, and managing demanding customer situations. Assists in the preparation of monthly and quarterly marketing reports for management. Assists in leading team initiatives around processes and best practices. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university and a minimum of four to six years of related experience and/or training. Experience in commercial real estate preferred. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients. Ability to effectively present information. Excellent customer service preferred. Prefer the ability to communicate objectives and collaborate with key stakeholders. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Intermediate skills with various software programs such as Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn web publishing platform. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
