Facilities Project Lead

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Facilities Project Lead to assist in the implementation of an environmental management system for a national charity.

Position: Facilities Project Lead – Environment

Location: Harlow, Essex

Contract type: Full Time, 2 year fixed term contract.

Salary: £33,500 per annum

About the role:

This is an exciting time to join this national charity at a time of growth. As facilities Project Lead you will assist the Facilities Manager in the implementation of an environmental management system, ensuring compliance.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • The first point of contact for environmental queries
  • Working with the Facilities Manager and Lead Assessor to ensure compliance with the charity’s ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) submission.
  • Lead on a variety of environmental projects for the organisation
  • Assess, analyse and collate environmental performance data monthly
  • Update and monitor the environmental policy and implement environmental practices throughout the organisation
  • Understand project requirements, prepare project plans and be responsible for the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Hold regular project reviews with Facilities Manager to ensure project performance is on track

About you:

This is a varied role that requires an experienced Project Lead who can prioritise workload and remain calm and focused under pressure. You will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Qualification with IEMA or similar professional body
  • Ability to take the lead on projects
  • An understanding of environmental issues and relevant legislation
  • Good Microsoft Office suite skills -Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Possess drive to achieve a high quality performance and continuously improve

Ideally you will also have Experience of implementing a full EMS, gaining ISO 14001 certification and of submitting an ESOS. A NEBOSH General Certificate would also be beneficial.
