Rochester, Michigan, Job Description Summary: To provide writing and editing services to project managers and digital/web professionals within the department of University Communications and marketing. Assist the marketing and communications team by writing for a variety of print and digital projects, including brochures, fliers, programs, web pages, social media posts, etc. Provide project management assistance, as needed. Assist web team by writing copy for digital platforms that is optimized for search engines, enhancing the organic reach of recruitment messaging for the university. Ensure adherence to AP style of writing plus university branding messages and writing style. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or English or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum of two years of experience in marketing or communications positions that include copywriting and/or editing duties. Experience working in creative teams. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with others. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education environment.
