SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT

This Stoke Newington Primary School is currently looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SEND Teaching Assistant to start with them in December 2020.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for supporting pupils with Special Education Needs across Reception to Year 6. You will be experienced supporting pupils with various SEN including Autism, Challenging Behaviour, ADHD, Speech and Language Delays, Global Learning Delays, etc. You will be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis and ensure that appropriate teaching and SEN techniques are used to develop the pupils’ learning abilities. You will be able to take adequate reports on the pupil’s progress and report this to the SENCO, class teacher, parents and other relevant members of staff.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
It is important that you have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a similar role. You will need to be familiar with the National Curriculum across EYFS to KS2. You will be confident across key subject areas in KS1 and KS2. You will have experience supporting pupils with their phonics, literacy and numeracy when required.
