Job description

In this Junior Financial Accountant position, you will be joining the growing finance team, supporting procurement, operational and logistical systems and processes. Working closely with various Heads of Departments, you will provide accounting and reporting support across the business. You will be instrumental in new system implementation and will be influential in suggesting any internal improvements. In this varied accountancy role, you will be given lots of support but must be happy working independently.

Key responsibilities

In this graduate Finance role in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing month-end close procedures for inventory
  • Maintaining the inventory management system and taking ownership of reconciliation
  • Assisting with the monthly management accounting process
  • Working alongside the ops team to support financial analysis
  • Arranging stock count procedures
  • Performing daily bank account reconciliations
  • Preparing inventory contribution calculations – primarily through the use of Excel
  • Rebate Accounting
  • Using Google Sheets and Excel daily to formulate data for commercial purposes

Job Requirements

  • Part qualified of fully qualified in ACA or ACCA
  • Ideally a BSc in Finance and Accounting
  • 18 months of commercial experience is essential – ideally in a retail business or FMCG
  • Excellent attention to detail – you’ll be a stickler for detail
  • A can-do attitude, which is necessary for a fast-growing startup like this one
  • The ability to remain calm and considered under pressure
  • Zendesk experience would be a bonus
  • A genuine interest in sport and tech innovation
